Plane tickets have become much more affordable these days. It's because there are more low-cost carriers. Tickets prices for some routes are sometimes half the price. In the early days, low-cost carriers only flew short-haul routes. Now, they have a lot of long-haul flights. Now, they have a lot of long-haul flights. This makes traveling abroad less of financial burden. However, for some cheap flight tickets, you can't receive a refund nor make changes to the reservation.

We boarded the plane and put our carry-on luggage in the overhead bins. The plane soon took off. We hit some turbulence on the way and the plane shook a little. However, we arrived at our destination without incident.
