When I buy something online, I cross-shop various items first. Depending on the site or the vendor, the same product could be sold at different price points. To get the best deal, it's good to compare prices. When I settle on an item, I enter the delivery address and check out. I usually pay with my credit card. When shopping on a mobile platform, I can make an easy payment using an app. After I've made the payment, a message tells me that the product is being processed. Then, it will be in transit. When the item has been shipped out, I can track the parcel and see where it is in the distribution process. On the day of delivery, the delivery person contacts me by phone and delivers the item. When I can't receive the parcel in person, I ask the person to drop it at the management office or in a parcel storage locker.

인터넷상에서 뭔가를 구매할 때, 우선 여러 가지 제품을 비교해 본다. 같은 제품이라 하더라도 사이트와 판매자에 따라 다른 가격대로 판매하는 경우가 많다. 그래서 최저가로 구매를 하기 위해서는 가격 비교를 하는 것이 좋다. 물건을 고르면, 그 다음엔 배송지를 입력하고 결제를 한다. 주로 결제는 신용카드로 한다. 모바일로 구매를 할 때는 앱을 이용해서 간편 결제를 할 수 있다. 결제가 완료되면 상품이 준비 중이라는 메시지가 뜬다. 그리고 나서 배송이 진행될 것이다. 발송이 되면 제품이 유통 과정 중 어느 위치에 있는지 추적할 수 있다. 배송 당일이 되면, 택배 기사분이 내 휴대폰으로 연락을 하고 물건을 배달해 준다. 직접 받지 못하면 경비실이나 택배 보관함에 두고 가 달라고 부탁하는 경우도 있다.

우리는 '체크아웃'이라고 하면 호텔 등의 숙박업소 퇴실을 생각하는 경우가 많다. 실제로 영어권에서도 이렇게 사용되는 경우가 가장 흔하지만, 꼭 숙소가 아니더라도 물건이나 서비스에 대한 대가를 지불하는 것을 통틀어 check out이라고 할 수 있다. '가게 계산대'는 check-out counter라고 부른다.
예) I considered whether to buy it or not before I finally checked out. (결국 결제를 하게 될 때까지 구입할지 말지 여부를 고민했다.)

When I buy something online, I cross-shop various items first. Depending on the site or the vendor, the same product could be sold at different price points. To get the best deal, it's good to compare prices. When I settle on an item, I enter the delivery address and check out. I usually pay with my credit card. When shopping on a mobile platform, I can make an easy payment using an app. After I've made the payment, a message tells me that the product is being processed. Then, it will be in transit. When the item has been shipped out, I can track the parcel and see where it is in the distribution process. On the day of delivery, the delivery person contacts me by phone and delivers the item.
