<말하기 연습>
I'm a sixth-year employee working in the management team of a fashion company. Our team consists of 10 members, but three of them recently resigned one after another. We hired new recruits, but they couldn't handle the pressure and also left after only a few months.
저는 패션 회사 관리팀에서 일하고 있는 6년 차 직장인입니다. 저희 팀은 총 10명인데, 그중 3명이 최근에 연달아 퇴사를 하게 되었습니다. 신입 사원들을 뽑았지만, 그들마저도 몇 달 못 버티고 퇴사를 하였습니다.

One of the recruits who resigned was a recent graduate who had really tried her best. But I think what the company wanted was the same level of aptitude as experienced worker. In the end, the employee left as if she were being forced out. This kind of situation has happened many times, which means the remaining team members and I are swamped with work.
퇴사한 신입 중에 정말 최선을 다하려는 사회 초년생 친구도 있었습니다. 그러나 회사에서 원한 것은 경력직 수준의 업무 능력이었던 것 같습니다. 결국 그 친구는 쫓겨나듯이 퇴사를 하게 되었습니다. 이런 일들이 여러 차례 이어져서, 결국 저와 남아 있는 팀원들의 업무가 과중한 상태입니다.

It's often mentioned in the news these days how difficult it is to recruit Millennial and Genz workers. But unless we can bridge the generation gap and align workplace culture, it will be hard to bring about change. If I become a manager in the future, I will foster a more horizontal work environment.
요즘 뉴스에서도 MZ 세대 직장인을 구인하기 어렵다고들 합니다. 그러나 세대 차이를 좁히고 직장 문화를 조정하지 않으면, 변화하기 어려울 것 같습니다. 제가 나중에 직장 상사가 된다면 수평적인 업무 분위기를 만들어야겠습니다.
