A Letter to My Wife.
The year is winding down, as it always does. When I look back on the people I want to thank, this year my wife comes to mind first.
I am especially thankful to my wife for help me out with my English studies in 2022. She recited passages with me each night, checking whether I had committed to memory the day's important expressions.
When I sometimes have a few too many at a company dinner, she doesn't get on my case. Instead, she worries about my health. I am so thankful for this. That's why I would like to write a letter to my better half.
You are always there for the kids when they need you, like flowers that bloom right on cue in the spring. I hope we will look together in the same direction, and go hand in hand for the rest of our lives.
아내에게 보내는 편지.
언제나 그렇듯이 한 해가 저물어 가고 있다. 감사하고 싶은 사람들을 돌이켜 보는데 올해는 아내가 가장 먼저 떠오른다.
2022년은 내 영어 공부에 도움을 많이 준 아내가 특히 고맙다. 아내는 저녁마다 나와 같이 본문을 낭독하면서, 그날의 주요 표현들을 암기했는지 확인해 주었다.
내가 가끔 회식 자리로 인해 술에 많이 취할 때도 아내는 잔소리를 하지 않는다. 오히려 내 건강을 걱정해 주는 아내가 정말 고맙다. 그래서 아내에게 다음과 같은 편지를 전하고 싶다.
