Talk about donating blood.
I am a 67-year-old physician. Since my high school days, I have donated blood 67 times. The blood in our bodies is destroyed on a continuous basis, and then replaced.
So, there is no need to worry that donating blood might have harmful effects on the body. Anyone between the age of 16 and 64 can donated blood. Of course, not everyone is physically fit to donate blood. They must be free of any diseases that can be transmitted through blood transfusion, such as hepatitis.
Also, the necessary body weight for blood donor is 45Kg for women and 50Kg for men. You have to have ID on you when you donate blood. There is a little prick when the needle is inserted. But even so, it is worth it if you think that you might be saving a life. That knowledge makes me feel very happy. I hope that you will join me and experience it for yourself.
