Compared to other countries, Korea has a wide variety of seasonal foods. Worn out as we are by fast food, these foods that are in season provide comfort for our bodies and minds.
Back when there wasn't enough food to go around, in-season ingredients were found in the mountains in order to eat healthy. For a homemaker, experiencing the different seasons by changing up the ingredients on the dinner table is a small source of happiness.

우리나라 제철 음식에 대해 이야기해 주세요.
우리나라는 다른 나라에 비해 계절적 특성에 따른 먹거리가 다양하다. 이러한 제철 음식은 패스트푸드에 지친 우리의 몸과 마음을 위로해 준다.
먹을 것이 부족했던 과거에는 어쩔 수 없이 산과 들에서 제철 식재료를 구해 먹었다. 그러나 요즘은 사람들이 건강한 식사를 하기 위해 제철 식재료를 찾는다. 주부의 입장에서 밥상의 식재료를 바꾸면서 계절의 변화를 체감할 수 있다는 점이 소소한 행복이다.
나는 우리나라 사람들이 자연에서 나는 재료를 사용하여 맛있는 음식으로 재탄생시키는 재능이 매우 뛰어나다고 생각한다. 이런 이유 때문에 한국 음식의 세계화에도 무한한 가능성이 있다고 본다.
