B: 응 탁 트인 공간에서는 잠들기가 힘들것 같아. 주위에 너무 산만한 것들이 많을것 같아서 말이야. 구분된 침실이 하나 있어야 할것 같아.

A: Wow! This place looks cozy and bright.
B: Yeah, I think I like it here. But if I decide to live here, I might need a divider.
A: You mean like a partition?
B: Yes. It's not going to be easy to fall asleep in an open space. There would be too many distracting things around me. I think I want a seperate bedroom.

Talk about baby teeth and permanent teeth.

My child's baby tooth fell out for the first time two months ago. The loose tooth fell out on its own while she was brushing her teeth. There was a little blood, but thankfully she said it didn't hurt. I congratulated her and hugged her tight, and she was very happy. We had a laugh when she said that she would listen to mom and dad even better, since she was all grown up now. She proudly told our neighbors that she had lost a tooth. They congratulated her, too.

It's most common for a perment tooth to take the place of a baby tooth after it falls out. With the back molars, the permnanent teeth grow right away, without baby teeth. When I was a young kid, I heard that you would grow a healthy permanent tooth, if you threw your baby tooth on the roof. It makes me wonder about tooth-related customs in other contries. Given the chance, I would like to ask people.

유치와 영구치에 대해서 이야기해 주세요

저희 아이의 유치가 두 달 전에 처음으로 빠졌습니다. 흔들리던 이가 양치질하다가 자연스럽게 빠졌습니다. 피가 조금 났지만, 아프지는 않다고 해서 다행이었어요. 아이에게 축하한다고 얘기하고 꼭 안아 주었더니, 정말 좋아했어요. 이제 다 컸으니까 엄마와 아빠의 말을 더 잘 듣게다고 해서 한바탕 웃었네요. 아이는 주변 이웃들에게 이가 빠진 것을 자랑스럽게 얘기했어요. 이웃들도 축하해주었어요.

유치가 빠지고 나면 그 자리에 영구치가 나는 것이 보통입니다. 가장 안쪽에 나는 어금니는 유치 없이 영구치가 곧장 납니다. 제가 어렸을 때 유치를 지붕 위로 던지면 건강한 영구치가 난다는 얘기를 들었어요. 다른 나라에도 치아와 관련된 문화가 있는지 궁금해집니다. 기회가 생긴다면, 물어보고 싶네요
