한국의 어학원에 대해 이야기해 주세요.

 

[Response]

There are many language schools in Korea. You can find them in downtown areas of all major cities. Some are chains with branch locations across the country. Others are local businesses. Some schools cater to students in elementary, middle, and high school. Others are for adults. The vast majority of these language schools teach English. Of course, there are schools that teach Japanese or Chinese, too. These days, there are lots of online courses in addition to the lessons at the schools.

한국에는 어학원들이 많다. 큰 도시의 시내에는 어김없이 이러한 어학원들이 있다. 전국에 지점을 가지고 있는 프랜차이즈 어학원들도 있고, 지역 어학원들도 있다. 초등학생이나 중고등학생들을 대상으로 하는 학원들도 있고, 성인을 대상으로 하는 학원들도 있다. 이런 어학원들의 절대다수는 영어를 가르친다. 물른 일본어나 중국어를 가르치는 학원들도 있다. 요즘은 현장 강의 뿐만 아니라 인터넷으로도 많은 강의들이 제공되고 있다.

I have studied English diligently. I have tuned in to EBS radio and TV programs consistently for language studies. I have also taken language classes to level up my English speaking and listening ability. Online, I took classes to learn English that comes in handy while traveling. I also subscribed to a channel on YouTube to expand my knowledge of English by watching videos. However one studies English, I think the main thing is to stay the course. This year, I'm thinking about learning Chinese as well.

나는 열심히 영어 공부를 해 왔다. EBS 라디오와 TV 프로그램을 꾸준히 청취하며 어학 공부를 해 왔다. 영어 말하기와 청취 실력을 향상시키기 위해 어학원 수업을 수강해 본 적도 있다. 인터넷에서는 여행할 때 유용한 영어를 배우는 강좌를 수강했었다. 또한, 유튜브의 채널을 구독해서 영상을 보며 영어 지식을 넓히기도 했다. 어떤 방법으로 영어 공부를 하던, 꾸준히 하는 것이 가장 중요한 것 같다. 올해에는 중국어도 배워 볼까 생각 중이다.
