These days, there are lots of study groups with different end goals. Most commonly, students form study groups to study together. Job seekers also form study groups to share information. Many groups are aimed at studying English or other foreign languages. The biggest advantage of these study groups is that members can help each other out. They can also stay motivated together. Another advantage is that members form bonds with each other. It's a good way to make new friends.

요즘은 다양한 목적으로 스터디를 하는 그룹이 많다. 가장 흔하게는 학생들이 공부를 같이 하는 스터디 그룹이 있고, 취업을 준비하는 사람들끼리 정보를 교환하는 스터디 모임도 있다. 영어나 다른 외국어를 같이 공부하기 위한 모임도 많다. 이러한 스터디 그룹의 최대 장점은 서로 돕고 동기 부여를 꾸준히 이어 갈 수 있다는 것이다. 또 다른 장점으로는 구성원 간에 서로 정이 들면서 좋은 친구를 사귈 수 있는 좋은 방법이라는 점이다.

[Response]

I am active in an English study group these days. We meet every Sunday night to study. Everyone's age and line of work is different. But we can all be friends because of English, our shared interest. We take turns to be the group leader, preparing and presenting a day's session. Learning English and interacting with each other, two hours pass by in the blink of an eye. Each September, we hold an event celebrating the founding of our group. All the members get together to share a meal, and to exchange gifts. I hope our English study group will keep going for years to come.

나는 요즘 영어 스터디 그룹에 참여하고 있다. 매주 일요일 저녁에 모여 스터디를 한다. 연령과 직업은 전부 달라도 공통 관심사인 영어로 인해 모두가 친구가 될 수 있다. 각자 돌아가며 모임의 리더를 맡아서 그날의 스터디를 준비하고 진행한다. 영어도 배우고 서로 교류하다 보면 두 시간이 눈 깜빡할 사이에 지나간다. 매년 9월에는 우리 모임 창립 기념 행사를 한다. 모든 회원들이 모여 식사를 같이 하고 선물을 주고받는다. 우리 영어 모임이 앞으로도 오랫동안 지속되면 좋겠다.
