오늘의 날씨를 묘사해 주세요.

 

[Response]

It is early summer here in Korea right now. The weather is fair today and we have clear skies. There are almost no clouds, and there is high visibility. The day are getting longer, so it's bright even at 7 p.m. The morning low was 20 degrees, and the daytime high was 26 degrees. The weather is getting hotter and hotter every day. People are starting to dress lightly. Soon, it will be hot and humid in mid-summer. The weather forecast says it is going to rain this weekend.

 

[해석]

지금 한국은 초여름이다. 오늘은 날씨가 매우 화창하고 하늘이 맑다. 하늘에 구름이 거의 없고 가시거리도 매우 좋다. 해가 점점 길어지고 있어서 저녁 7시에도 환하다. 아침 최저 기온은 20도였고, 낮 최고 기온은 26도를 기록했다. 날이 갈수록 날씨가 점점 더워지고 있다. 사람들의 옷차림도 점점 더 가벼워지고 있다. 곧 덥고 습한 한여름이 찾아올 것이다. 일기 예보상으로는 이번 주말에도 비 소식이 있다.

Talk about typhoons that hit Korea every summer.
매년 여름 한국을 강타하는 태풍에 대해 이야기해 주세요.

 

[Response]

One or two big typhoons hit Korea every summer. When a big typhoon makes landfall, there are strong winds and heavy rain. The strong winds wreak havoc, blowing over fences and causing property damage. Sometimes, people get injured when they are hit by flying debris. Some rivers overflow because of too much rain. There are floods all over the place. Many houses and cars go underwater. It is very nerve-racking.

 

[해석]

여름마다 큰 태풍 한두 개가 한국을 강타한다. 태풍이 상륙하면 강풍과 집중호우가 쏟아진다. 강풍으로 인해서 담장이 넘어가거나 재산 피해가 발생하는 등 피해가 굉장하다. 날아오는 파편에 맞아서 다치는 사람들도 있다. 일부 하천이 폭우로 범람하기도 한다. 곳곳에서 홍수가 일어난다. 많은 가옥과 차량이 침수 피해를 입는다. 정말 긴장을 하게 만드는 상황이다.

A: 그것 참 다행이다. 뉴스에 보니 어떤 곳들은 정말 심하던데.
B: 그러게, 우리는 운이 좋았어. 하마터면 큰일 날 뻔했어.
