1. consult with a doctor. 의사 진료를 받다.
- 확실치 않다면 의사 진료를 받아 보는 것이 좋다.
You sould consult with a doctor if you're not sure.
- 의사 진료를 받고 나서 처방전을 받았다.
I received a prescription after consulting with a doctor.

2. clench one's teeth. 이를 악물다.
- 그냥 어금니 꽉 깨물고 버티는 수밖에 없다.
You just have to clench your teeth and bear it.
- 어찌나 아픈지 나는 이를 악물었다.
It hurt so much that I clenched my teeth.

3. consciously try to. 의식적으로 ~하려고 노력하다.
- 나는 적어도 주 2회는 운동을 하려고 의식적으로 노력한다.
I consciously try to exercise at least twice a week.
- 나는 채소를 더 먹어 보려고 의식적으로 노력했다.
I conscisously tried to eat more vegetables.

[화] Making Baby Food. 이유식 만들기.

1. one of the hardest aspects of. ~에서 가장 힘든 것 중 하나.
- 다른 사람들과 협업하는 것은 리더가 되면서 가장 힘든 일 중 하나다.
Working with others is one of the hardest aspects of becoming a leader.
- 긴 출퇴근 시간은 이전 직장에서 가장 힘든 것 중 하나였다.
The long commute was one of the hardest aspects of my last job.

2. prepare everything by hand. 전부 손으로 직접 만들다.
- 우리 엄마는 아직도 전부 손으로 직접 만드신다.
My mom still prepares everything by hand.
- 손으로 직접 다 만들면 맛이 더 좋을 것이다.
It will taste better if you prepare everything by hand.

3. take a lot of effort. 손이 많이 가다. 힘들다.
- 아이를 키우는 것은 힘든 일이다.
It takes a lot of effort to raise a child.
- 손이 많이 가는 조리법이지만, 그럴 만한 가치가 있다.
The recipe takes a lot of effort, but it's worth it.

[수] Learning Boxing. 복싱 배우기.

1. lose a lot of weight. 살을 많이 빼다.
- 아빠가 편잖으셔서 살이 많이 빠지셨다.
My dad got sick and lost a lot of weight.
-걷기 운동만 더 해도 살을 많이 뺄 수 있다.
You can lose a lot of weight just by walking more.

2. imporve one's skills. 실력을 키우다.
- 꾸준한 연습만이 실력을 키울 수 있는 유일한 방법이다.
Constant practice is the only way to improve your skills.
- 실력을 키울수록 점점 더 쉬워질 거야.
It will get easier as you improve your skills.

3. as a form of exercise. 운동 삼아.
- 나는 운동 삼아 주로 계단으로 다닌다.
I usually take the stairs as a form of exercise.
- 나는 운동 삼아 매일 강아지를 산책시킨다.
I walk my dog every day as a form of exercise.

[목] Jacuzzi Incident. 자쿠지의 추억.

1. it turns out that. 알고 보니 ~다.
- 막상 알아보니 티켓 가격이 그렇게 비싸지도 않았다.
It turned out that the tickets weren't too expensive.
- 알고 보니 음식점이 호텔 바로 옆에 있었다.
It turned out that the restaurant was right next to the hotel.

2. handle the situation. 조치하다. 상황에 대처하다.
- 상황에 대처하려면 참착함을 유지해야 한다.
You need to remain calm to handle the situation.
- 나 혼자서는 조치를 하지 못할 것 같다.
I don't think I can haddle the situation myself.

3. bring it up. 언급하다. 상기시키다.
- 다음 회의 때 제가 그걸 언급하겠습니다.
I will bring it up at the next meeting.
- 꼭 필요한 것이 아니라면 굳이 언급하고 싶지 않다.
I don't want to bring it up unless it's really necessary.

[금] Full-time Mom. 전업맘 놀이.

1. take a year-long leave. 1년 휴직을 하다.
- 나는 진급한 직후 1년간 휴직을 했다.
I took a year-long leave right after my promotion.
- 직원들은 자녀 한 명당 1년씩 휴직을 할 수 있다.
Employees can take a year-long leave for each their children.

2. three warm meals a day. 하루 세끼 따뜻한 밥.
- 우리 회사는 하루 세끼 따뜻한 밥을 제공한다.
My company provides three warm meals a day.
- 혼자 살던 시절에는 매일 세끼 따뜻한 밥을 늘 먹지는 못했다.
I didn't always have three warm meals a day when I lived alone.

3. feel guilty about. ~에 대해 죄책감을 느끼다.
- 부모님과 너무 멀리 떨어져 사는 것이 마음에 걸릴 때가 가끔 있다.
I sometimes feel guilty about living so far from my parents.
- 나는 너무 일찍 자리에서 일어나서 미안한 마음이 들었다.
I felt guilty about leaving so early.
