<말문을 여는 패턴>

1. was/were ~ing (그때 ~을 하고 있었던 중이었죠.)

Talk about childbirth and childrearing.

Childbirth and childrearing are a rite of passage to become parents. When a mom-to-be becomes pregnant, her body undergoes many changes. Early in the pregnancy, most pregnant women experience morning sickness. In most cases, the symtoms go away early on. Midway through the pregnancy, the belly moving bigger and body heavier. Simply moving around becomes a chore, and the expectant mother will often have indigestion.

After giving birth to the baby, the huge hurdle of childrearing awaits the parents. Parents have their hands full feeding, washing, and putting down the baby. Sometimes they feel bewildered because they don't know why the baby is crying. Childrearing is no easy task, but seeing a baby's innocent smile can wash away fatigue. The joy of raising a child is in a league of its own.

출산과 육아에 대해 이야기해 주세요.

출산과 육아는 부모가 되기 위해 거쳐야 할 과정이다. 임신을 하면 엄마의 몸에는 많은 변화들이 생긴다. 먼저 임신 초기에는 대부분의 임신부들이 입덧을 경험한다. 대부분의 경우 그 증상은 임신 초기에 없어진다. 임신 중기 이후에는 배가 불러오고 몸이 무거워진다. 그래서 몸을 움직이는 것도 힘들어지고 소화가 잘 안될 때도 많다.

아기를 출산하고 나면 육아라는 거대한 관문이 부모를 기다리고 있다. 부모들은 아기를 먹이고, 씻기고, 재우느라 무척 바쁘다. 때로는 아기가 왜 우는지 몰라 당황 할 때도 있다. 육아는 결코 쉬운 일이 아니지만, 아기의 천진난만한 미소를 보면 피곤함이 말끔히 사라진다. 자식을 키우는 기쁨은 그 무엇과도 비교할 수 없다.
