우리는 유명해지기 전에는 사실 고생을 많이 했어요.

2. ~는 누구의 ~이었죠. (~ was one's ~)

수학은 존이 가장 잘 못하는 과목이었어요.
생물학이 저로선 가장 못하는 과목이었어요.
부정적인 태도는 제인의 가장 취약한 점이었어요.

Math was John's weakest subject.
Biology was my weakest subject.
Negative attitude was Jane's weakest point.

Level 2. 이지 잉글리쉬.

Talk about doing your hair at home.

During the past year, COVID-19 hsa brought about many changes in my household. One change was that my mom started cutting my family member's hair.

Her first cliednt was my 7-year-old brother. However, there were layers and holes here and there, so he was unhappy with the haircut. For a while, he was not a happy camper. But mom didn't give up. She studied haircuts and styles through YouTube videos. She ordered hair cutting shears and clippers, and she really came into her own.

Her next guest was my dad. My dad was in a sweat, but thankful he was satisfied with his haircut. My mom went through a lot of trial and error for nearly a year, and her haircutting skills really improved. I will become her third client, when she cuts my hair sometime soon.

집에서 머리를 하는 것에 대해 이야기해 주세요.

지난 1년 동안 코로나19로 인해 우리 집에 많은 변화가 있었습니다. 그 중에 하나는 엄마가 직접 가족들의 머리를 잘라 주기 시작했다는 것입니다.

첫 손님은 7살 남동생이었는데, 군데군데 층과 구멍이 생겨 마음에 들어하지 않았습니다. 한 동안 정말 불만이 가득했습니다. 하지만 엄마는 포기하지 않고, 유튜브 영상을 통해 커트와 스타일을 연구했습니다. 미용 가위와 바리캉을 주문하면서 실력이 부쩍 늘었습니다.

다음 고객으로 아빠를 모시게 되었습니다. 아빠는 걱정을 많이 하셨지만, 다행히 만족스러워하셨습니다. 엄마는 1년 가까이 여러 번의 시행착오를 겪으면서 정말로 미용 솜씨가 늘었습니다. 조만간 엄마가 제 머리도 잘라주면 제가 엄마의 세 번째 고객이 될 듯합니다.
