Hope for Korea's Economy in 2023.
2022 was rough going for everyone in Korea, due to high costs of living, exchange rates, and interest rates. External factors like war drove up prices for imported goods. This led to higher costs for goods and services we need in our daily lives. As an ordinary office worker, it was hard even to manage ever-increasing costs for lunch.
Many parents I know had children studying abroad. With the exchange rate getting higher and higher, they often dreaded wiring money to their kids. Plus, interest rates were raised to curb inflation, which meant interest tates became a heavier burden on household budgets.
I hope that in 2023, things will begin to look up for the economy both overseas and domestically. I also hope our living standards will improve overall.
2023 우리 경제에 대한 소망.
2022년은 고물가, 고환율, 고금리로 인해 우리 국민들 모두가 어려움을 겪었다. 전쟁 등의 대외적인 요인으로 인해 수입품의 가격이 올랐고, 이에 따라 우리가 일상에서 필요로 하는 재화와 서비스의 가격도 더 뛰었다. 평범한 직장인인 나로서는, 하루가 다르게 오르는 점심 값을 감당하는 것조차 만만치 않았다.
주위에 자녀를 유학 보낸 부모들이 많았다. 그들은 시시각각 오르는 환율 때문에 자녀들에게 송금할 때 가슴이 덜컹 내려않는 경우가 많았다고 한다. 또한 물가 상승률을 잡기위해 금리 인상이 이루어지다 보니 가계의 이자 부담도 더울 커졌다.
바라건대 2023년에는 대내외적으로 경제 상황이 호전되었으면 좋겠다. 전반적인 우리의 생활 수준도 나아졌으면 한다.
