Living in a 1st Floor Apartment.
Living in an apartment with two sons one year apart, we often were at fault for noise complanits between floors. I kept saying "don't run" and "step softly" to my young boys, sounding like a broken record. It was stressful for them, and for me as well.
That's why we moved to a first-floor apartment, and we've been living on the ground floor for seven years. My kids and I love that I don't have to get on their case anymore, since no one lives below us. We can jump rope or play ball games indoors. Cleanup is a breeze since we don't need sound-absorbing mats on the floor, and it's much nicer to look at.
Taking out the trash is more convenient now, as is bringing in the groceries. We can see trees and plants just outside the balcony windows, so we feel close to nature even though we don't keep houseplants. The kids will be entering middle school soon, but I want to stay on the first floor. The pros outweigh the cons.
아파트 1층에서 사는 것.
연년생인 두 아들을 데리고 아파트에 살다 보니, 우리는 층간 소음의 가행자가 될 때가 많았습니다. 어린 아이들에게 "뛰지 마라", "살살 걸어라"하고 반복적으로 말했고, 이것은 아이들에게도 제게도 스트레스였습니다.
그래서 아파트 1층으로 이사를 했고, 7년째 1층에 살고 있습니다. 아래층에 아무도 살지 않으니, 이제 잔소리를 하지 않아도 되고 아이들도 저도 너무 좋습니다. 집에서 줄넘기도 하고 공 놀이도 할 수 있습니다. 바닥에 방지 매트를 안 깔아도 되니 청소할 때도 편하고 보기에도 훨씬 좋습니다.
이제 쓰레기 버리기도 편하고, 장 본 물건을 들여놓기도 좋습니다. 베란다 창문 빡으로 나무와 식물이 바로 보여서 우리가 화초를 키우지 않아도 자연과 가까이 있는 느낌입니다. 아이들이 곧 중학생이 되지만 저는 계속 1층에 살고 싶습니다. 단점 보다는 장점이 더 많습니다.
