People do a lot to advance their careers. First and foremost, they receive a good education at school. Getting good grades and going to a prestigious school helps one's career. It also helps to get work experience through internships at companies. In Korea, language scores are also an important yardstick to evaluate people. Obtaining certifications in one's field is also helpful. Finally, writing a good resume and cover letter can help you find a job.

[Response]

I spent most of my senior year of college trying to land a job. I found information on various websites for job-seekers to get hired at a company of good standing. I decided on the company and field of work I wanted, and prepared step by step. I formed a study group with fellow job-hunters. We did test prep together for various written exams. I went over my resume and cover letter several times. I also geared up for corporate job interviews. Studying together was helpful, because we shared information and cheered each other on.
