[Extra Topics for Study Groups]
1. Share some tips you have for getting clothes very clean.
2. Describe how to hand-wash delicate garments.
3. Do you use a clothes dryer? Why or why not?
STEP 1
Talk about how you do your laundry.
[Response]
I usually do my laundry all in one go over the weekend. It takes quite a while to wash clothes and hang them up to dry. That's why I take care of it on the weekend. I sort the whites and the colors before running the washing machine. If I wash them together, other colors could bleed onto the whites. I load the washer and add laundry detergent and fabric softener. When the laundry is done, I hang the clothes to dry on a drying rack, one by one.

[Response]
I once did the laundry, and the garments came out a mess. It turned out, there was some paper in my pocket. And I forgot to take it out. Tiny pieces of the paper get stuck on all the other clothes and made a dog's breakfast of the laundry. I had to do the laundry over. Another time, I washed a pair of black jeans. After they were dried, they were faded. They weren't as nice to look at compared to when they were new. Once, I washed some shirts, and one shrank in the wash. It already fit snugly to begin with, so I couldn't wear it anymore.
