차량 화재의 위험에 대해 이야기해 주세요.
올해는 차량 화재에 대한 보도가 빈번했다. 특히 한 회사에서 생산한 차량이 화재에 취약해서 지적을 받았다. 해당 회사 차량의 차주들은 회사를 상대로 집단 소송까지 진행하고 있는 상태이다. 물론 차량 화재는 모든 차에서 발생할 수 있다. 과거의 자동차에 비해 요즘 자동차들에는 수많은 전자 기기가 장착되어 있다. 게다가 올 여름, 기상 관측 이례 최악의 폭염이 발생했다. 이런 이유들로 차량 화재가 더 빈번하게 일어났다. 운전자는 주행 도중 차량의 과열이 의심된다면, 안전하게 정차 후 도움을 요청해야 차량 화재를 막을 수 있다. 또한, 화재에 대비해서 차량에 소화기를 손에 닿는 위치에 두는 것이 좋다. 자동차 제조사들은 화재의 원인을 조사하고, 화재 방지책을 찾아야 한다.

This year, there has been no lack of reports on car fires. One company has been called out in particular for producing cars that are susceptible to fires. Owners of cars from the company in question have filed a class action suit against the company. Of course, car fires can break out with any car. compared to car from back in the day, modern cars contain a lot of electric gadgets and gizmos. Also, the hottest heat waves on record occurred this summer. Such factors have caused more frequent car fires. If a driver suspects overheating while at the wheel, they should safely park the car and request assistance to prevent a fire. It's also good to keep a fire extinguisher within arm's reach in a car, in case there is a fire. Carmakers should look into the causes of the fires, and find preventive measures against them.

폭염
장기간 지속되는 폭염을 heat wave라고 하지만, 한파를 wave라고 하지는 않는다. 대신 could spell이라는 표현이 흔히 사용된다. 비가 오지 않아 장기간 가문 것도 spell을 써서 dry spell이라고 한다.
