Level 3. 입트영.

Retirement.

A year ago, my father retired from the job he had worked at for over 40 years. Having experienced office life myself, I realized that keeping a job for that long is a monumental achievement.

To mark the occasion of my dad's retirement, our family threw him a party. We put up a banner and prepared an appreciation plaque to show how the family felt.

My dad was moved to tears by the family's heartfelt appreciation. Everyone who helped prepare the party choked up, myself included.

I have the utmost respect for all the years my dad spent weathering storms at work. Now, I hope he will look after his health as he embarks on act two of his life, not for his family but for himself.

은퇴.

1년 전, 우리 아버지는 40년 넘게 일하셨던 직장에서 정년퇴직을 하셨다. 내가 직장 생활을 해보니 한 직장에서 그렇게 오랜 기간 일하는 것이 얼마나 대단한 일인지 깨닫게 되었다.

우리 가족은 아버지의 정년퇴직을 기념하기 위해 축하 파티를 해 드렸다. 현수막을 준비하고 가족들의 마음이 담긴 감사패도 준비했다.

아버지는 가족들의 진심 어린 감사의 마음에 감동해서 눈물을 흘리셨다. 나를 포함하여 파티를 준비한 모두가 눈물을 참기 힘들었다.

나는 아버지가 직장에서 갖은 풍파를 견디시며 보냈던 그 많은 세월을 깊이 존경한다. 이제는 건강을 챙기시며, 가족이 아닌 아버지 자신을 위한 제2의 인생을 시작하시기 바란다.

You have to look after your health, no matter how busy you are. 아무리 바쁘더라도 건강은 챙겨야 한다.
My wife takes a lot of vitamins to look after her health. 아내는 건강을 챙기기 위해 비타민을 많이 먹는다.
