There are lightbulbs throughout my house. There is a fluorescent light in the ceiling of each room. There are two lights each, so you can adjust the brightness by switching on either or both of them. There is a floor lamp in each corner of the living room. Each lamp has an incandescent bulb. I recently put bulbs with a high energy efficiency rating in the lamps. There is a light in the bathroom, too. When I flip the switch, it turns on along with the vent fan. Finally, there is also a desk lamp on my desk.

A while ago, the fluorescent light in the bedroom began to flicker on and off. The time had come to change the bulb. I removed the cover from the light, and took a picture to record the type of bulb I needed. I showed the picture to a store clerk, and he found a replacement. I bought two, to keep one as a backup. I slid the bulb into the slot. I flipped the switch, but it was no good. I then inserted the bulb in the opposite direction. That did the trick. I wrapped it up by placing the cover.
